Goals

  • The Summit Civic Foundation’s primary goal is to serve young families with children by providing them with affordable housing that enables them to benefit from Summit’s excellent schools and many other services and organizations.
  • Second, the Foundation has a goal of using its resources as efficiently as possible. Thus, if a family purchases a home, the Foundation will assist with closing costs as an incentive to move, thus allowing the Foundation to rent to other families.
  • Third, the Foundation has a goal to give consideration to applicants that have a connection to Summit such as working in Summit during the tenant selection process.  The rationale being the Foundation, founded in 1956, had a mission to provide housing for Summit residents displaced from their homes.
